so what's my ideal job..... well give me a sec..............
an ideal job... well for me that would be heading a game design team for my own company. the position I'd go for would of course be lead game designer. this is because i have tons of ideas for video games since I'm working on multiple books. i like to create things that most people find hellishly complex. to me though i too find such thing complex i still treat them as if they were nothing. this is because my goal isn't to keep up with the competition it's too keep up with my standards which to tell the truth is a higher bar to try for anyway, specially since in creation I'm a perfectionist. actually so you have an idea for what I'm saying here are two example game setups. first a game in which you can use either the preset characters or create your own and play through the story line which changes depending on what you choose to do. then after you complete the story the first time your created character is placed in the game as a preset basically your character is now a part of the game, pretty cool huh well that's not the end the more you play the more starting ability sets you unlock like when you start you hard merc, ex army, civilian, etc. and when you unlock all of em you have Exgundam pilot, assassin, guillotine operator, Xenoslayer, special forces, strange dude who wander from the middle of the desert, etc. point is the list goes on and on and each Set allows you to learn more skills and techniques and gives you better stats. OK now for the second example this one i call the gundam wars it is a game that feature one of my favorite things gundams. now the idea is that you can create your own pilot and gundams and fight through any story line in the gundam universe or create your own personal story in a combination of all the gundam worlds. the game consists of two modes the story universe mode where you play through existing gundam universes, then the gundam war mode where everything is Topsy tunny because every gundam and pilot is there so you got all the sides fighting for power supreme power over the universe and you get to basically do what you want create your suit join who you want or just be a rouge. i was also thinking of having an event where instead of having you verse computers you could fight players throughout the world like a gundam world war day or weekend or something. so yeah that would be my ideal job creating the games that i design these days in my head to see if anyone likes a fun game with a little humor. this position I'd be working with people(my team) and so so i get all the answers to the questions. personally when it comes to pay as long as i can get by really don't care doing what i love is just too much fun for me to spoil it by putting a price and conditions on how and when I'll do it. of course i currently live with my parents so i don't have the experience of trying to make ends meet so the concept of how much money one needs to live is a bit beyond me anywhere from 65,000 to 150,000 would be really cool to make but I'm not sure what i would need. i suppose I'll make due with what i can handle.
Cattears out.
(oh sorry no pics i keep forgetting to add pic when i'm at home )
Wow, thats really cool! Game designing seems like a fun and exciting job career.
ReplyDeleteHeheh...yes $65-150,000 would be really cool. Think of it this way, working fulltime at $10/hr is roughly $25,000 annually I believe, which is a comfortable spot for someone to live at fresh out of the 'Rents. Especially if you get a roommate or two to split an apartment. But it seems that you have the ambition to go beyond comfortable living, just stick with it. :)
